A Work in Progress
. . . being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6 NIV).

I praise God every day that He is not finished with me yet.
Several years ago, I came up with the name Work in Progress when I thought I was supposed to become a writer. Oh. My. Word. I learned pretty quickly that writing novels was not my calling. I wanted to write mysteries, so I attended writers’ conferences, learned from wonderful mentors, and soaked up every bit of knowledge I could. The truth is simple—I just did not have the talent for writing fiction.
But God had a different plan.
Over time, He showed me that I had a gift for working with other people’s writing, and I absolutely loved it. What I thought was the end of one dream became the beginning of the right one.
So, in this next season of life, I continue to be a work in progress. I am grateful God still has more to teach me, more ways to stretch me, and more divine assignments ahead. I still love to learn, grow, and encourage others along the way.
And I am truly glad to meet you.
